Tutorial on Seasoning a New Wok
Give the new wok a good scrub and rinse.
On the inside,
And the outside.
Then, rinse and wipe dry.

Move the wok slowly over the flame. The wok will start to change to a golden brown color and then to a steel blue color.
Allow the wok to cool.
Rub some oil
over the entire surface of the wok.
FRY AROMATICS
Add ginger, green onions, and more oil. Stir fry and rub ginger and green onions all over the surface of the wok with a spatula for it to release its fragrance.
Remove and discard all the aromatics. Wipe the wok with paper towel and allow it to cool.
Scrub the wok with sponge and warm water.
Wipe dry.
Rub a thin layer of oil over surface of wok.
