all-purpose flour

(1.45 liters) chicken broth
Salt to taste

ground pepper

half-and-half
(or milk) (240ml)
Instructions
In a large pot, melt butter. Add onions, garlic, and celery. Sauté until soften, about 5 minutes.
Add all-purpose flour and continue to stir for another minute.
Pour in chicken broth. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and allow soup to simmer for 15 minutes.
Add salt and ground pepper. Turn off stove.
Puree soup with an immersion blender until smooth.
Turn on stove again. When it comes back to a boil, add half-and-half or milk. Allow soup to heat through.
Turn off heat and serve warm.
