Several weeks back, I had agreed to review a new line of natural spice extract from Italy. The box came neatly packed with eight colorful canisters of different flavors – curry, oregano, lemon, truffle, garlic, basil, chili, and sea salt. One must say that the artwork on the individual spray is eye catching and it is easy to differentiate one from the other.

The flavors are surprisingly strong and effective for a meal size serving. My favorites are the lemon and chili. My teenage boys found the sprays very easy to use and I can see this doing well in a high school or college get-together. For more information, please check out the Spice Spray website.

These sprays are very handy when you need to get a meal on the table quickly. I was able to prepare this pasta salad in 20 minutes by simply flavoring it with the sprays.

[amd-zlrecipe-recipe:43]

Yesterday evening, we prepared a complete meal using the collection of sprays. I made a quick and simple potato salad by boiling 6 potatoes until fork tender. After draining and peeling them, I flavored the potatoes with a little salt, pepper, and several pumps of lemon, basil, and chili spray. I added a little chopped parsley for color.

I also steamed some eggplants as a sidedish. Please refer to my Steamed Eggplant recipe on how to prepare the eggplants. I replaced the canola oil and sesame oil with 5 to 6 pumps of garlic spray. This worked out surprisingly well without me having to chop the garlic and prepare the garlic oil.

For the protein, Ro-Ri San grilled some steaks seasoned with a dry rub. We usually do not salt our steaks before grilling. 2 to 3 pumps of the salt spray at the table was all that was needed. This was very convenient and the saltiness was just right. Dinner was ready in under an hour. ๐Ÿ™‚
