The year-end holiday is a busy time of the year. There is so much to do and so little time to cram it all in. The food has to be prepared closer to the big day but the shopping can most definitely be done ahead of time. Make it a fun and exciting experience by shopping early for the best gifts.

This year I am getting a head start with JCPenney’s Holiday Gift Toasting. JCPenney challenged me to “Gift Toast” family and friends with awesome gifts from their stores. I was more than happy to accept because I get to check off at least a couple of people from my holiday gift list before it gets very hectic. I immediately went online to JCPenney.com to get some gift ideas and then I decided to head out to my local JCPenney store at the mall. I had a very successful shopping trip and came home with gifts for three instead of two. I had so much fun I went back the next day to shop for the family. It was awesome and here is a peek at some of the “goodies” I brought home.

I found a good selection of Nike women’s activewear at the store and decided to pick out a cute outfit for my friend, the busy working mom. She works out regularly at the gym. I chose this Nike® All Time Full-Zip Hoodie because I think she will really enjoy it. The hot pink hoodie and sleeves provides a splash of color and the big kangaroo pockets in the front is the perfect place for warming up cold hands. The fabric feels soft and comfortable.

To pair with the hoodie, I chose this Nike Club Leggings. I really like that big mesh swoosh in the lower leg giving it a nice touch and stylish appearance.

I was captivated by the Philosophy gift sets. I personally like and use the Philosophy line of products and so I selected this Philosophy Sparkle and Joy shower gel duo. The scents of both shower gels are very feminine and refreshing. They will be great for my friend to freshen up with before heading back to work.

There is a huge selection of boots for the season at the shoe department. I love the tall and stylish boots from Liz Claiborne and St. John’s Bay. For my friend, a medical professional who moves around visiting her patients, I chose this pair of stylish and comfortable Clarks Riddle Avant Womens Booties with rubber soles. I know this pair of boots will keep her feet warm and toasty in our snowy Minnesotan winters.

Walking through the men’s department I can’t help but notice the range of Star Wars™ fashion which is all the rage this season. When I saw this Star Wars™ Vaderific Fleece Sweatshirt I knew I had to pick it up. There is no greater Star Wars™ fan than my husband, fondly known as Ro-Ri San on my blog. I can’t wait to surprise him with this…shhhhh!

Being the foodie that I am, I had to make a stop at Kitchen & Dining. I was impressed with the selection of NutriBullet blenders I saw there. They came in a range of colors. I really like their slim and compact design. Also check out the KitchenAid® stand mixers and attachments. I can’t say enough good things about KitchenAid® and you know you need a stand mixer this season for all your holiday baking.

All in all, I had a very successful shopping trip to JCPenney. Time for me to wrap up all these gifts and go Holiday Gift Toasting with them. It would be fun to watch the expressions on the faces of the recipients when they open their gifts.

    Oh this year…I am doing alot of looking around! I really love that Philosophy shower gels! Those would be great for my mom and daughter in law! Its harder this year…as everyone doesnt have many ideas for me….so alot of looking! Thanks for the great ideas!

    For my mom, it is always high quality/expensive bath/body products. She won’t buy them for herself because she is too cheap, so I always give her a bunch for her holiday gift and her birthday each year.
