Oden Bento

By: 👩‍🦳 Linda · Published: 🖨 January 11, 2010 · Updated: 💻October 10, 2015 · 🗨 2 Comments

There is a little more variety in today’s bento box. As a treat for Ro-Taro and Ro-Jiro who love crunchy fried stuff, I bought a pack of fried chicken from the grocery store. Both were very appreciative of it. Not always healthy, but certainly very tasty! Ro-Ri’s kitchen is not big into deep fried goodies. I do make some but they are few and far between.

I used two shallow rectangular glass containers instead of the regular square one. The front container holds the oden, rice cakes, and mini bottles for soy sauce, and tonkatsu sauce. In the second container are the fried chicken cut into bite sized pieces and steamed Chinese eggplant.
