Stuffed Roast Bento

By: 👩‍🦳 Linda · Published: 🖨 January 13, 2010 · Updated: 💻October 11, 2015 · 🗨 2 Comments

I saved some of the apple stuffed sirloin roast from yesterday for this morning’s bento. This should keep the Ro-Taro and R-Jiro happy as they like meaty bentos.

The rice is a mix of brown and white. I cook them together in the rice cooker on a 1:1 ratio. The combination of the two gives a slightly nutty flavor and a more chewy texture. Included are a cup of stir fried vegetables and umeboshi.

Now that makes for one special Bento box of tasty food.
I had my first Bento box at a Japanese restaurant in Houston, TX back in August, 2009.
