Easter Pasta with Olive Oil and Edamame

By: 👩‍🦳 Linda · Published: 🖨 April 22, 2011 · Updated: 💻October 3, 2017 · 🗨 28 Comments

While out shopping some weeks back, I came across this Easter pasta and could not resist bringing it home. It came in a 12 ounce package of pasta shaped into bunnies, carrots, and Easter eggs. Some were colored with spinach and beetroot. It is a fun pasta to prepare for the Easter weekend.

I think the kids will love this pasta in a mac and cheese. It would also make a lovely salad with your choice of sauce, vegetables, and fruits. I made it simple by using egg-shaped edamame to give it a pop of color with a garlic and olive oil dressing. I added some red pepper flakes for a little heat.

This pasta can be purchased on-line at Plentiful Pantry.

Look at those cute shapes!

I made a pasta tonight too, with beans. I added black beans… don’t eat much meat so I need to get my protein!

When I saw this pasta on your post, my immediate reaction was that it would be perfect for mac and cheese. We obviously both considered the same thing, though I love your presentation! The edemame do kind of look like easter eggs 🙂 What a fun Easter dish.

I’ve never seen such adorable pasta shapes before!! I like the simple ‘sauce’ you paired them with. Anything heavier would have blanketed the pasta and prevented them from being enjoyed for their adorable novelty!

I know it’s late but I do hope you and your family had a wonderful and blessed Easter Biren!

Omg! My kiddies would’ve totally loved this pasta for Easter! Those are such adorable shapes. I love that you used edamame; almost like little green Easter eggs. Also helps to bring colour and texture to the dish. Another healthy and wonderful dish, Biren.
