Introducing Malaysian Chinese Kitchen

A new year, a new website! Today, I am so excited to reveal my latest project, Malaysian Chinese Kitchen, co-authored with my dearest husband, Paul. With rapid modernization, extra long work hours, and the advent of fast foods, the family home kitchen is fast dying out. Hence, our desire to promote all forms of Malaysian Chinese cookery on this website.

The very first post, Malaysian Chinese Food – A Short History is a reflection on the origins of the Malaysian Chinese food and culture. The post also touches on the historical influences that shape its identity. We hope this will shed some light on what you see here at Roti n Rice with its diverse collection of recipes.

In case you are wondering, Roti n Rice will continue here with its international and fusion appeal. Malaysian Chinese Kitchen will complement that but have a different focus promoting awareness of Malaysian Chinese cuisine.

Without further ado, we invite you to hop over to Malaysian Chinese Kitchen to check out the website and read the post. There will be stories, recipes, tutorials, visual ingredient listing, and Youtube videos coming up in the days ahead. While you are there, please also do subscribe and follow us on the various social media platforms for future updates. See you there and THANK YOU for your kind support!

    Hi Linda
Just discovered your blog and your wonderful recipes. Now you have started another blog that brings back wonderful memories of my mother. The photo of the kitchen reminds me of those old kitchens in Malaysia. I used to watch her cook in one of these. Such nostalgia!!! Thank you and Paul for the superb effort you loving put together a part of my growing year. Will be eagerly waiting for more post

Thank you, Bee! It is precisely one of the reason why we set up Malaysian Chinese Kitchen. The memories mean a lot to many people, ourselves included. Do stay tune for our Chinese New Year memories coming up real soon. 🙂
